Thermal Resistance of 30° Sloped, Enclosed Airspaces Subjected to Upward Heat Flow

چکیده

Heat transmission across an enclosed space is determined by the type of filling gas, temperatures and long-wave emissivities all surfaces that define space, heat flow direction. The ASHRAE Handbook Fundamentals provides thermal resistances (R-values) airspaces with only five effective emittance values (E) for vertical, horizontal, 45° airspaces. R-values do not include case 30° sloped In addition, ignore impact airspace aspect ratio (A) on R-values. However, many previous studies, as well this study, have shown A can a significant effect R-value. Previously, correlations were developed determining vertical (90°) subjected to horizontal flow, (0°) up down downward flow. To authors’ knowledge, no such correlation existed R-value upward which in paper. potential increase placing thin layer varied both sides middle was also considered. Architects building designers use compute various E operating conditions. This along be included current energy models (e.g., EnergyPlus, ESP-r, DOE, Design Builder).

Thermal Stress Resistance to Fracture and its Relation to with Resistance to Thermal Fatigue and Shock

Dense Silicon nitride was investigated to determine the effect of its microstructural parameters and densification on thermo-mechanical properties and thermal stress resistance to fracture initiation during a hot or cold mechanical and thermal shock testing. The different materials and microstructures were obtained by changing the parameters such as the type of the powder, additive, forming p...

Performance of chicks subjected to thermal challenge

The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of thermal challenge at different intensities and durations on the production responses of 3 to 21-day-old broiler chickens. Two hundred and ten Cobb chicks were subjected to dry-bulb temperatures (tdb) of 27, 30, 33, or 36°C for the duration of 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 days from the second day of life onwards. The experiment was carried out in four...

Effect of Lemon Juice on the Egg Shell Quality of Layers Subjected to Heat Stress

Heat stress is an effective factor on immune responses, body weight, egg production and egg quality of chickens. The major effect of heat stress is due to decreased food intake and alteration in acid-base balance. During the recent years, efforts to improve laying performance at high temperatures have been relatively successful. Supplementation of the diet or drinking water with special nutrien...
